The Understory is a tiny arts and gathering space tucked away in Wartburg, Tennessee, built for events that feel a little out of the ordinary.

Come for an intimate concert, a movie on the big screen, a dance party, live theatre, an artist workshop, a micro wedding, a community gathering, or something we haven't dreamt up yet.

We’re small on purpose. Close enough to hear the musician without a microphone. Cozy enough to pile onto the floor for a movie. Flexible enough to clear the room and dance. Strange enough that you never quite know what might happen here next.
